From our Pastor Father Greg
Dear Parishioners,
God is good! Our 40th Annual Carnival is complete! While we had small crowds on Thursday and Sunday due to the weather, the crowds on Friday and Saturday were record breaking. People were ready to come out and to celebrate. They were thankful that they could come together for the first time since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic. This allowed us to reap the benefit of all the work that our Carnival Committee put in throughout the year preparing for our largest annual event, and it was a great success. This year was particularly stressful for our committee with the constantly changing regulations, but they bravely hung in there. Finally, we were able to get back to some normalcy, and people responded in great numbers and enthusiasm. I kept hearing from almost everyone that they needed this, and it was great to see everyone having a wonderful time. It was also a tremendous financial success. Exact numbers are not totally in yet, and time will tell how much we actually will profit from it. Bills need to be paid and total receipts need to be finalized, but it all looks very promising. It seems to have been one of the most profitable carnivals in our history. While I cannot begin to name all the individuals who have contributed with heroic fervor, I do want to thank again Jerry Wsalek, this year’s general chairperson, Neil Herman, the Vice Chairperson, the Carnival Committee, and the hundreds of others who worked at the Carnival serving people directly or behind the scenes! I would be remiss if I also did not thank all those who were praying for the success of the Carnival. Certainly, we can do nothing without God’s help, and we were blessed with wonderful crowds and a safe experience. It was truly a remarkable event. Congratulations to all who have been involved in putting together this premier event in the Southtowns!
As I begin to write this article on Monday afternoon following the Carnival, there are many very tired people who put in countless hours over the past few weeks particularly, and a good number of them have been here since early this morning doing the clean-up and tying up many loose ends. It is often difficult to get volunteers for this, but the majority of the clean-up is already complete. I am continually impressed by the dedication and diligence of our Carnival Committee and workers. Thank you again for your hard work!

On behalf of the Carnival Committee
Thank You
for the generous support for Carnival 2021!
Our 40th year of continuing this traditional church fund raising event would not be possible without our parishioners, school parents, staff, family and friends. The cooperation provided has led us to another successful year which we, the Carnival Committee are very thankful for. Something we can all be proud of especially during this time of recovery form the Global Pandemic.
Sincerely,
Jerry Wszalek Neil Herman
General Chairperson Vice Chairperson
